Kind, Patient & Respectful Guidance

There are many different reasons as to why you would need to clean out an estate. A few that top the list are downsizing due to a major lifestyle change, divorce, debot or the death of a parent or loved one.

“I called Stacy to help me organize and downsize my belongings, many of which I had inherited from my parents, and I’m so glad I did. She was efficient, professional, understanding, and able to do in two days what I couldn’t in two months. She handled everything from sorting my items to setting up a time for someone to come clean out my attic, and it was all done in a timely manner. She also handled communications between the auction house, and kept me updated on everything. She was great with my dogs and a really pleasant person. I can’t recommend Stacy enough. Hiring her was definitely the best decision I made all year. Thank you, Stacy!”

Our Process

Regardless of the reason, the process that needs to happen can be overwhelming and challenging. When you add the emotional attachments to the situation, you can quickly feel overwhelmed and at a loss as to where to start and how to reach the necessary milestones.

Customized Plan

We at PIT will customize a plan to meet your specific goals and requirements often starting with eliminating the trash and organizing and sorting the treasures. Depending on the reason for your clean out, it may be necessary for us to collect and organize any important financial documents that may be needed to settle the estate. In addition we can collect and box up any personal photo’s or memorabilia that could be irreplaceable to the family.

Item Selection

The next step is usually for the family members to come through and select the items they would like to keep. We often use a color coded system to make this as streamline as possible. Once those items are removed we can decide how to liquidate the remaining items by sale, consignment and or donation.

At PIT we pride ourselves in being kind, patient and respectful of your current situation. We will make every effort to guide you along this process with care and understanding, and stay with you until we reach your final goals.

Whether you are downsizing, handling an estate or dealing with the items left behind after a family member or loved one passes away we can help you through this process.
